Worldwide System Maintenance on October 17 Will Affect Some iPhone Activations and Unlocking
On Sunday, October 17 , Apple will perform maintenance on the systems responsible for iPhone activation and unlocking. This planned maintenance will last up to 5 hours, starting at 9:00 am During this maintenance period:
1. Wireless carriers worldwide will be unable to unlock iPhones.
2. Customers will be unable to activate iPhones purchased from the U.S. Apple Online Store.
