Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) 在这个领域是个什么级别的Journal? 是很NB还是很菜的？

The Journal of International Business Studies is a double blind peer-reviewed academic journal and the official publication of the Academy of International Business. It is published by Palgrave Macmillan and covers research on international business. The journal was established in 1970 and is edited by Lorraine Eden (Texas A&M University). According to the Journal Citation Reports its 2009 impact factor is 3.766, ranking it 10th out of 87 in the "Business" category and 10th out of 112 in the "Management" category.

你说的这个刊物应该算management方面的非常核心的了。impact effect 中文叫影响因子，学术界用来评论 journal publications 和 journal article好坏，影响力的指标。IE越大越好，说明该刊物在其所在学科的影响力大，被其他学者引用的多。现在国内外大学老师评职称除了最重要的获得的科研经费，其次就是看这个的。当然不同的学科影响因子相差很大，医学生物方面3.0估计就是很菜的文章了。像工程类civil engineering的要是 IE 有3.0以上就是极品中的极品了。我查了奥大很多工学院的教授副教授，他们发的核心代表作一般就是1.2-2.0，算是很不错的。国内很多教授一辈子都没有一篇2.0的。

在学校database里面的journal没有太差的放心用吧

你要看一本学术期刊好不好, 就看一下里面发表的文章的质量咯. 如果你在读研的话应该很容易辨别出来论文的等级吧. 还有一个方法就是把一些文章的TITLE在SCHOLAR里搜查, 它下面会写着被人CITE了几次的.
其实看每篇论文的质量更重要, 不是好的学刊论文就一定好
