As of Friday 30 July, 2degrees customers will be able to swap their current SIM for card one of the new 2degrees microSIMs.
As their name suggests, microSIMs are a smaller version of a traditional Mobile phone SIM card and are designed for use with the latest Apple mobile devices.
According to Chief Marketing Officer, Larrie Moore, 2degrees customers have been vocal in their requests for the new SIM card.
“We have a significant number smartphone users on the 2degrees network and a reasonable percentage of those are using an Apple mobile device.
“We will be enabling our customers to swap their current SIM card for a new microSIM, free of charge, from Friday 30 July*.”
A SIM-swap is the transfer of all the customer’s account details, including their current balance over to a new SIM card. To take advantage of the SIM-swap 2degrees customers are required to call: 0800 022 022 from Friday 30 July to initiate the process.
