sound like right,the ball join is connent to the arm,to cut the cost,you can either use aftermarket parts?or secondhand parts.

if u want aftermarket oem replacement parts..
try autolign in mt wellington
http://www.autolign.co.nz/Contact.asp
ask if they can supply just the ball joint itself...or get the whole arm...

2nd hand parts...just call around wreckers to see if they have stock

Mits factory parts always expensive.just go normal workshop and they will sort it out for you.
