Purpose: A social and learning group for refugee and migrant women and their pre-school children in the Hutt Valley. We meet weekly providing women with the opportunity to:meet others; practise English; learn new skills; share and exchange cultural experiences; learn about the New Zealand way of life.
Services: We meet every Tuesday (primary school terms 10:00 - 12:00 noon at Avalon Baptist Church Hall, corner of Lincoln Ave & High Street, Avalon. We also run a free bus service from Upper Hutt to Lower Hutt which collects people and drops them off after the programme. A playgroup programme is run at the same time for pre-school children.
