yea French is especially hard
it should be easier for europeans with Latin background
but most Chinese can't distinguishly learn both French and English

--and the most important is, when i did the italian BEGINNERS class (I did attempt to make it my minor, but sigh), 2/3 (or more?) of the class knew spanish, which was VERY similar to italian. At the end, the beginners class dun even look like a beginners class. sigh.
honestly, Id rather study it after i went back to HK or sth.
Talkin abt studyin european languages with a chinese background, I saw a chinese girl in my Psych lecture whose english is reali reali good, and does spanish as minor. I wish I were her....ORZ
