---I have installed QQ in my PC, but all chinese are xx?!#&*^&, how can i have my pc able to read chinese?

---I cant add chinese input too as in the control panel the add input language drop down box has no Chinese!!

Anyone can help??...

I usually just use online QQ, easy & simple, no need to install, go to web.qq.com

For the Chinese Input part:
download Google Pinyin, that's by far the best chinese input I tried.

For the Chinese QQ part:
- No, I havn't had a solution yet. I tried to install Chinese QQ at non-english Windows, and it never works, even after i installed the Eastern Language Pack.
- I suggest the best you can do now is either a: try an English QQ (never tried myself) or b: run a virtual Chinese Windows, and install ur Chinese QQ there.

Just a bit confused...i can read all the chinese website without downloading anything, does it mean pc supports Chinese already?

Chinese characters can be coded in different ways (encoding), u can read chinese website allright means ur pc can at least support that Chinese encoding. But the strange thing is that seems QQ and some other chinese software are using a different Chinese encoding.

Anyway: you can try what #4 said:

But I think I tried this already, and it doesn't help, but every computer is different, maybe it will work 4 u. good luck.

Sorry...

U first need to run a virtual machine, if your OS is professional edition or higher, there should be a Microsoft VirtualPC already installed, if not, it's a free download anyway.

then you need to install a Chinese Windows onto the virtual machine, this requires you have the Chinese Windows Disk or iso image ready.

then you click on the VirtualPC, and choose create New (or something like it), and there will be a friendly wizard to guide u, it 's much easier / faster to install a virutal pc than a real one.

then u should be rocking.....

like I said, I was half-kidding when I said that, it really depends on how desperate u want ur QQ working.

control panel>region and language>keyboards and languages>change keyboards>general>add>chinese (what ever you like)>ok

公司设置可能你看不到language bar
control panel>region and language>keyboards and languages>change keyboards>language bar>docked in the task bar 你就可以看到而且选择你要的输入方式

我现在在公司中文WOW和三国杀online都玩上了^_^

control panel -> regional and language settings -> Advanced -> "Select a language to match the language version of the non-unicode programs you want to use" -> select "Chinese (PRC)"

You can find English verison QQ too.

想安装中文软件的话, 就必须那样做.
control panel -> regional and language settings -> Advanced -> 第一个drop box 选 “Chinese PRC”
