Thank you for your query with regarding a visitor visa. You can download form 48R from our website – www.immi.gov.au and lodge your application with your current valid passport at our office with:
[ ] Completed form 48R
[ ] A letter from your employer confirming your employment and period of approved
leave
[ ] Evidence of the property you rent or own
[ ] Evidence that you can support yourself financially in Australia
[ ] If you are a student – a letter from the college/university confirming the dates of your
course and agreed leave dates
[ ] Passport sized photographs of all applicants with name and date of birth written at the
back of the photograph
[ ] A detailed outline of your intended travel around Australia
[ ] Medical insurance and a proforma completed by our panel doctor (People 75 years of age and over)
[ ] Application charge of NZ$140.00 – payment can be made as follows:
- Credit cards–Please note that American Express, Diners Card and
Postal Money Orders are not acceptable
- Cash
- Business cheques
- Personal cheques (please note this takes 10 days to clear)
- EFTPOS
* Cheques to be made payable to the Australian Trade Commission.
[ ] Consent from both parents for children under the age of 18 together with evidence of
their signatures
[ ] Any further information you feel may be relevant.
To facilitate efficient and on the spot processing of your application it would be in your best interest to front load your application with supporting documentation. If you are sending your application by mail or courier you must enclose a prepaid envelope or courier pack for the return of your passport.
