A principal applicant qualifies for 10 points for a close family member in New Zealand if that close family member:
is the adult sibling or adult child, or parent, of a principal applicant, or of the principal applicant's partner included in the application; and is in New Zealand; and
is a New Zealand or Australian citizen or the holder of a current residence permit that is not subject to requirements under s18A of the Immigration Act 1987.
In all cases, a visa or immigration officer must be satisfied that New Zealand is the primary place of established residence of the close family member at the time the application under the Skilled Migrant Category is made.作者: amazinggrace 时间: 2009-12-3 01:42:19

H2.15.1 Definition of 'close family member'
In the context of Humanitarian category policy, close family member means:
1. a parent, adult sibling or adult child, or
2. an aunt, uncle, nephew or niece, or
3. a grandparent, or
4. a person who has lived with, and been part of, the applicant's family for many years, but is not an estranged or divorced spouse or partner.
