Recently Information Technology Services has been using ‘remote monitoring’ to identify and censure students accessing inappropriate material on the Internet via their Massey University network account.
The University policy http://its-intra.massey.ac.nz/policies/index.htm) to use or access the Massey network to access the internet, computer labs and wireless clearly states it is for the purposes of supporting academic study only.
If any inappropriate activity is identified on a students account we immediately contact the HOD/Lecturer to identify if usage is directly related to study. If not, students are given a warning and automatically banned from accessing the Massey network for two weeks. If students are found to be heavily abusing their privileges their access is revoked pending a formal full investigation which may result in disciplinary action.作者: Arthas 时间: 2009-9-21 13:38:36
